Who is Camp Civitan?

We are the premier camp for developmentally disabled individuals of all ages. People from around Arizona and neighboring states come to Camp Civitan to enhance their quality of life, enjoy the multitude of outdoor experiences we offer and make lifelong friends.

Founded in 1968 as a 501c3 non-profit organization, the Civitan Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to "providing our community an accessible, safe and affordable camping environment and delivering superior outdoor life experiences, enhancing the quality of life to developmentally disabled individuals of all  We take particular interest in the health and welfare of the disabled, their families and those at risk.

  • Two large dorms, four large restroom facilities, all ADA approved, roll-in showers and shower chairs included.
  • Sixty new wooden bunk beds, accommodating 120 persons at one time.
  • Tents and RVs are welcome if extra space is needed
  • Large industrial kitchen with walk-in cooler and freezer.
  • Large outdoor fire pit for campfires.
  • Covered outdoor open air recreation room.
  • Indoor recreation hall with ping pong, air hockey, pool table, foosball, computer and exercise equipment.
  • Large screen television with satellite, DVD, VCR and karaoke.

The Civitan Foundation has built relationships with the Arizona Department of Developmental Disabilities, Southwest Leadership Foundation, Boy Scouts of America, Arizona Nutrition Network, The Fraternal Order of Eagles (Statewide), and Lura Turner Homes, just to name a few.
