Camp Civitan's camping sessions are run by outstanding and awesome youth volunteers from around the state. Each one of our volunteers become the true friends of our campers and serves as the backbone of our programming.
All volunteers work directly with the campers and are ultimately responsible for the quality of the camp experience. Our volunteers have said: "Camp not only helped me to find myself, but it has also helped me find lifelong friendships. I love the feeling I get when I see that I have brought joy to someone. New volunteers are always welcome! Camp 2008 Volunteer Application
We are always looking for other groups to collaborate with throughout the community. Volunteering encourages good citizenship, teaches responsibility, helps foster good traits, and enhances college applications.
Each year Camp Civitan recruits several new young people, ages 14 or older to come spend one to ten weeks of their summer working with developmentally disabled individuals of all ages.
